Essential Oils for Sleep and Restful Sleep | Essential Oils for Mental Health | Inhaler Blends

hey everybody this is Rebecca Totilo
with aroma Hut Institute. today
I’m going to show you how to make aromatherapy inhalers. now this is a great way
to use your essential oils and you don’t
even need a carrier oil when you do this
so what I want to do is show you three
recipes that I love and have found to be
very beneficial and I’m going to cheat a
little bit cuz I got some labels already
pre-made but of course you can make your
own recipes up he’s in the therapeutic
blooming with a sensual book and this
has over a hundred and seventy common
ailments I talked about blending my
chemistry by botany oh my goodness by
all the different ways that’s like five
different blending techniques in here so
you can come up with your very own but
I’m going to show you three that I love
the first one is called deep in thought
okay so if you’ve ever wanted to just
sort of go more into a deep meditative
state maybe help settle your mind bring
some peace into your you know just help
you set a little bit we’re going to use
some of my favorite oils okay so this
recipe calls for frankincense and we use
seven drops of frankincense and that I’m
going to also be using how the hawaiian
sandalwood and and this one i’m going to
use three drops and then we need to use
four drops of leg length okay so we have
a little glass bowl that we’re going to
be using and i have one of the easy
plastic inhalers that you can purchase
on Amazon I’ll share the link below it’s
very simple because we’re just going to
be using a cotton wick to absorb those
oils and hold them so let’s start with
our blending we move these away here so
you can see we’re going to start with
seven drops of frankincense one two
three four five six seven it’s okay if
you get a next one
it’s about 15 to 18 drops for the wick
and then we’re going to do lips let’s do
the sandalwood next and Santa what’s a
bass note
I love sandalwood and this one is from
Hawaii so it’s really nice very very
similar to some of the other ones this
one we’re going to use three drops and
you can see it’s a thick oil so it just
probably wants to come out there you go
three drops and we’re going to do four
drops of ylang ylang ylang ylang
safflower and this is a very heavy scent
oil it’s a base note so we’re gonna do
four three four typically what I’m
blending by notes I would be checking my
blend each time I add a drop just to
make sure I like it in this case you
know it would be nice to have a stove
rod here but I’m just going to sort of
roll it around and check it and see if I
like it and it’s a nice it so I’m gonna
go ahead and add my wick and just let it
absorb these holes up and make sure I
get all the drops added in here okay so
this you’re going to need to just open
up the bottom if it has a cap the cap is
out here so we’re just going to go ahead
and drop this in here
and just put the cap back on make sure
that’s in there seated so it doesn’t
come out this is so nice for children
because they you know you don’t have to
worry about them getting the oils on
their hands or touching them they’re
pre-made great for use and then you know
your own personal space you don’t worry
about anybody else selling smelling
these oils and you also don’t have to
carry around 12 or 15 holes in your
purse with you so this one has a label
already so it says deep thought and
there you have it ready to go so to use
it you just open it up you just inhale
take a nice deep breath and then you
just do that to the other
sighs ah so nice very calming very
soothing and very sedate if this is a
great blend to have okay so let’s set
that aside and I’m going to try another
one this one is the open mind so let’s
open up our mind this would be helpful
for your focus clarity maybe if you’re
getting ready to take a final exam or
you need some help just sort of getting
your mind in the right place so with
this one we’re going to be adding four
drops of basil and we’re going to need
our frankincense again we’re going to
add two drops of frankincense and five
drops of peppermint and then finally
four drops of rosemary rosemary is a
great oil to help you with your mental
clarity this will help clear your mind
help you to focus so let’s put these
over here for a second let’s go ahead
and get our bowl and again we’re going
to need another inhaler
and so let’s start with four drops of
basil and that’s there then let’s do two
drops of frankincense oops I think I got
three it’s okay all right so let’s do
our peppermint five drops there you go
and finally let’s add four drops of
rosemary I’m already thinking I’m going
to send this one to my son Judah in
college in Pensacola Christian College
help them to study and stay focused on
his schoolwork so you can always check
it make sure you like it that’s nice and
we’ll go ahead and put our cotton in
again just absorb the soles this is
really easy for him because I know he’s
a certified aroma therapist he is one of
our instructors hourly instructor for a
roma Hut now but I know at school it’s
hard to get the oils up and make your
own blends right so he’s I’m just gonna
go ahead and ship these off to him so
we’re gonna just drop this in and go
ahead and put our cap on and actually
label it don’t forget to always label
your blends because you’ll forget what
they are and why you made them so this
one is open mind we should keep an open
mind shouldn’t we we should always be
ready to listen and take instruction
when we are given it okay these are easy
we just add it right to the cover and
just sort of roll it around it’s nice
because it has slick glossy cover and
you aren’t too worried about the oils
getting on it and ruining your labels
okay so let’s just make one more blend
and let’s see oh I know which one I want
to make because I’m making him I’ve got
all these balloons for him and I know
one that he
really needs because he stays up late at
night and he doesn’t get enough sleep
so this one is restful night so when
this one I’m going to be using five
drops of cedar wood seven drops of
lavender and three drops of vetiver so
that’s my nice blend I think there’s
other oils that you could choose like
spikenard or frankincense it’s a nice
one it’s very soothing and helps you to
sleep but this is a nice combination
it’s going to be a little different and
something that he might enjoy so let’s
go ahead and see let’s start with our
cedar wood I’m gonna do five drops of
cedar wood now cedar wood is 98% sesqui
terpenes so that’s quite a bit let’s see
if I can get this drop to come out one
can’t get it pick him up – in this case
I would take the top out and use a
diffuser or yeah I bet I’m sorry two
three four okay there we go
and seven drops of lavender we use a lot
of lavender around here
one two this one I’m always ordering and
vetiver is again very thick whole you
can see in the bottle it’s just very
thick it is a bass note this one we’re
going to use three drops
two three okay there we go
okay so let’s go ahead and and use our
wick to absorb it let me roll it around
a bit though I want to see if I like the
scent yeah that’s nice okay you know
what I’m thinking of I think I want to
add one more drop of feather for just a
little bit more because it is a heavy
oil but I sort of like the groundedness
of it it’s really sort of a nice change
because we use a lot of lavender in this
house and see the wood so let’s take
that and see the wood is great for the
mine this one is one of the best oils
that to use for helping your memory
helping you to sort of focus clarity
help feel the brain okay let’s just go
ahead and swap it around get it soaked
up you can see there’s a lot of oil on
this we’re going to just drop it right
in and put our cap on okay there we go
and let me add the label
and there’s so many other variations you
can do you don’t need to use this
particular one but I’m gonna share the
recipes below so you can go ahead and
try this at home as well so this one’s
good for sleeping ah so calming so
that’s a great blend to have if we’re
college students or even if you happen
to suffer from insomnia need something
to help you get to sleep at night I hope
you enjoyed that let me know what you
