what is the dietary lifestyle that you promote I call it the whole food plant-based diet I don’t call it the vegan diet I hate the vegan I don’t call it the vegetarian diet that’s not I did not do the research because of that like my original idea was rejected the opposite you know teamed lots of meat dairy and eggs so I call it whole food Piper’s diet because all of my ideas came from actually doing the science during research was a lot of students and colleagues we published it you know I had lots of publications in the professional edition for then that was important because then I could get the criticism but my colleagues that’s why colorful papers I understand what do you think about the vegan community about what they are doing they are not they don’t try to be only healthy is more about moral and what do you think about you you can be vegan but eating junk food what do you think about all of this excellent question the worst vegans I mean I I welcome I welcome their interest and number one number two I also believe that they’re taking a step in the right direction but they haven’t gone as far as they can and many vegans they want to convince us to believe in that for ideological reasons for ethical reasons and I find that somewhat difficult is it vetting I understand it is an ethical question for them but if I go to somebody and say I usually need a bigger diet because of it that’s the ethical thing to do I’m saying to that person I’m ethical you’re not yeah and there’s no scientific argument for that no I do so I don’t I don’t support that idea I want to ended vegetarians also because the vegetarians I welcome their interest and they’re taking a step in the right direction but 90% of them are more or less or still consuming dairy so their diet is still a lot of fat a lot of animal foods same with vegans they eat too much fat and too much carbohydrates oil oh yeah so they’re not doing as well as they could either direction is good but not for yeah that’s a good reason you have some people yeah but just not I sea lion eating animals in nature and and it’s the work way that worlds working I don’t know is I don’t know if animals died it’s fine for me right but the the most important thing for me is to be healthy I don’t want to die for for disease that I can prevent and also if Romania in Europe is the country with biggest problem with cancer we are number one rated in Europe and do you really believe just a lot of Romanian people die every day by cancer do team starting today having whole food plant-based diet we can dramatically change this we can see this in five years a change in theory in theory is probably true I don’t know about five years but certainly maybe 10 years so I think you can see major changes the problem is not everybody’s going to do it just for everything just realistic way the people are not going to do it so it’s going to take a little longer than that but you know my point is this is the information give it to the public let them start thinking about it yeah 86% of Romanian are dying by cancer and heart disease and also a little sclerosis I don’t know I think this is the right name in English for heart disease is also because of the meat you have no meat you have no heart disease problem that’s right heart disease my friend dr. Aselton and also dr. Ornish in united states they were able to show very clearly as people is heart disease if you put them on this kind of diet in one way time one week some of their pain like they’re enjoying for example disappears their cholesterol levels dropped we’ve induced I have two son one son of the doctor the other sons a movie producer he just produced a movie in the United States it’s a new movie called plant urination and they in that film and also in my other sons practice and other other friends they take people put them on this day in one way time the cholesterol in the blood translator and almost zero risk of dying for are destroyed which is a very popular disease you know I have some figures on the circular slide the interviews in u.s. dollars the average cost somebody has heart disease they go to the doctor there to get stents if they’ve got some discomfort they have stents and your own status they state stands for loves their lives on average the cost of that per year is about twenty thousand dollars because I have to keep coming back against answer they take the Stabbin since that is our side effects so cost 20 thousand dollars per year and they die sooner and if instead I do understand since that yeah it just take the food yeah they live longer than a healthy animal and it cost about a hundred dollars a year yeah twenty thousand dollars a year so we’re so foolish what do you think about intermittent fasting and also if you know about warrior diet is a book right by OB right yeah where diet was soldier and for the to have a very good mind very to be able to be very focused they are not eating in the first part of the day only small meals with fruits and in the evening in the end of the day they eat a big amount of veggies and and of all the meat all the food without me yeah I’m not entirely clear on what the best plan is I think I I think the best plan is probably some breakfast the big meal maybe it’s one o’clock for applause and then very lightly at night and that’s supportive I feel like and I also if someone eats me if you eat meat and there is an egg in the morning you become pre-diabetic yes that’s true that that’s true and when I say so breakfast I’m talking now not date but yeah okay about a few nuts omiyo subproof you know in the morning yeah yeah after understanding what we have to do to be healthy for me as an athlete I have this question can I perform at the highest level eating in this way or I have to eat in an unhealthy way just to perform better I have actually become acquainted with friends and some patient was world-class athletes and we have a famous football player in the United States for example Hall of Fame everything made a big story in The Wall Street Journal him enjoy yourselves he when he started this he was on the billboards with white mustache cuz he used a lot of dairy and when he read the book he couldn’t believe what he read he called me up said what I said how do you feel says I feel great he lost some weight from 248 pounds to 241 which for him but in any case he he changed his recovery time was faster and without pain in other words raining really intentional you can have a space but that that was much less he was better coordinated he lost some weight but he thought actually stronger I have another friend who went through this the Tony Gonzalez who has gymnasiums he owns about 15 gymnasiums around the world who works with professional athletes and he actually he was a bodybuilder and he did better when he started eating this way carbohydrate our anabolic yeah that’s right so it does inhibit Metin anymore Gary player famous golfer from South Africa one of the top golfers Gary player to God our book and said it was on television United States it was 75 because the the CrossFit Federation in the sports that I am performing they promote Paleo diet and it’s all about the meat and my next question is how can PhD doctors promote diet like Palio Atkins I can understand where they’re making money most cases they’re making money they are doing Lobby yeah they well they’re making money in other cases they’re selling supplements yeah this is my next question they’re doing supplements or they’re being paid but interest rates per quarter in some cases they really believe it they just don’t want to change the mind maybe they’re selling some ideas and defend their diet now I’ve debated the number-one paleo person in the United States three times he won’t debate anymore but it’s not good do you know the average age of death for football players who eat a lot of animal protein supplements like the Paleo diet the average age of death of the foot players who do that is 56 years every ounce this year’s cancer heart disease so they get more muscle maybe bigger muscles yeah but it’s also but includes fat yeah also the igf-1 rev the level is grow when the igf-1 level is high that’s right as your phone you become in the risk of cancer and the meat is doing this there is doing this eating a whole food plant-based diet do you think need other supplements then b12 ah no do you think we need b12 probably it’s okay yeah I think some of the research on that yet from my point of view is not quite good enough but I agree that probably some b12 and the reason I say that because when we’re eating the vegetables and fruits and grains we’re always washing them so much that the b12 is produced one yeah organiz yeah by a bacteria that’s right and so but you know I think the people who are eating meat are also need b12 that’s right they have just as higher yeah the standard in a yeah because also in industry when you put a lot of pesticides in the in the field you destroy that bacteria and even you are eating on meat or on veggies you don’t have b12 because of this process over there before the growing sense I just want to ask you my last question do you meet as a doctor a person who has health problem but prefer to risk of to have a risk of dying out prefer to die that person then changing the diet did you meet people like this who it’s fine I want to eat meat even if I die yes unfortunately I had a couple of friends in fact who won two men who one of them had heart disease l had cancer the fellow with cancer was a very good friend he’s also a really good athlete he was Hall of Fame and basketball there what he was he wanted to do this but when he got leukemia and his wife said I’m not gonna fix that food for you he came to our house he wanted to do it himself but his wife wouldn’t help him three years later he was dead there’s you know III don’t understand and then I have another friend from many many years ago he’s heart disease he called me up he wants to do something about this he saw the movie I said well Jerry do it as a wait what about you know his wife was name was Christina I said Chris David what does she think about this he says she doesn’t believe in this she will not read the book and she will not see the movie I don’t I understand sometimes people prefer to eat junk food unhealthy food just for their pleasure and even if they die also in part because somebody from the religion the God said to eat that kind of food right this is this is crazy thank you for the interview it was there was a huge pleasure to meet you I don’t think all of these guys know who you are I try to explain you are like the best rock star but in nutrition you’re in the top of the world also dr. Michael from Nutrition Facts if you’re not Michael yeah he’s their student he was a student a same university yet I asked him early to substitute for me for two weeks in my class I know Michael very well is an amazing person also full man dr. Forman with no I don’t say thank you don’t like him absolutely not I helped him for three years to help him publish because he never did any research he came to me want me to help I will tell this on camera yeah and so I helped him win the trinitarian diet that’s right but unfortunately he’s so interested in money he turned around and he lied about his results and there’s really really serious and he also sells supplements oh this is public knowledge I understand I have no use for him because I do not trust him for anything I understand he’s sort of saying the right thing more or less but using the right information to make more money than this ridiculous yeah yeah because he also said some often yeah yeah I understand thank you a lot was a pleasure to meet you thank you hurt you
